  • Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement (AL!VE) is a membership-based organization of leaders and professionals in volunteer engagement.  They provide many webinar trainings free or at a discounted rate for members.  Non-members can purchase individually.  AL!VE also maintains a listing of Online Resources, available to all.


  • Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) is a federal agency that, through Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, the Social Innovations Fund, and other programs and initiatives, provides opportunities for Americans of all ages and backgrounds to serve their communities.  CNCS website has free, official information and resources available to all regarding demographics, grans, national service, and more.


  • Energize, Inc. was founded by Susan J. Ellis, author and co-author of many books on volunteer management, including From the Top Down, The Volunteer  Recruitment Book, and Focus on Volunteering.  Her website is filled with free resources, articles, and trainings from A – Z that explore the latest topics of interest for leaders of volunteers.


  • Points of Light was cast from the vision of 1,000 points of light shared by our founder President George H. W. Bush in his 1989 inaugural address.  Today, Points of Light transcends politics and borders to inspire millions of volunteers worldwide.  Points of Light hosts an annual conference centered on volunteerism in America.  Their website has a multitude of free resources for volunteers, volunteer leaders, and businesses across the country to get more involved with service.


  • The Wisconsin Volunteer Association (WVCA) is a statewide professional organization advocating for coordinators of volunteer services through support, resources and educational development.  WVCA hosts an annual conference for leaders of volunteers, partners with regional volunteer management groups, and hosts free resources on its website for volunteer coordinators across the state.
